Instrument Engineer I

ReCon is seeking qualified Instrument Engineers for our office in Sulphur, LA.

Instrument Engineer I: Perform limited tasks and calculations necessary for engineering and design efforts supporting construction drawings and packages under the guidance of a supervising engineer.

 

Duties:

  • Checking drawing packages and vendor submittals for completeness and accuracy.
  • Convey adequate instructions to enable the design staff to perform their task with quality work.
  • Perform calculations for related discipline under the direction and supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
     

Education and Experience:

Bachelor of Science Degree in a related discipline from an accredited university with 0-3 years of experience in refinery, petrochemical, chemical, offshore, pipeline or utility industries; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

 

License Requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s License as per State law or requirement
  • Engineer Intern (E.I.) certification preferred
     

Specific Skills: 

  • AutoCAD experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills Microsoft Office and Outlook or similar software.
  • Knowledge of regulatory codes and requirements for the related discipline preferred.
  • Understanding of basic engineering principles and application.
