Our 5G network is live for consumers and businesses across the country. Our robust and growing fiber footprint provides gigabit speeds to nearly two million customers. Innovation powers all that we do and as part of our team, your next big idea could be our newest innovation.
Joining our Accounting Development Program as a Co-Op means you’re part of a team designed with your potential in mind. You’ll have the opportunity to put the concepts and theories into practice gaining exposure to a variety of accounting disciplines while making an impact through your work in AT&T’s accounting and finance organizations. We’ll provide the development, mentoring, and networking opportunities you need to gain an edge, while you learn about corporate finance and accounting across our business alongside others who are just as driven as you. In fact, you’ll collaborate directly with our top financial decision makers and executives, gaining experience and insight into how they lead.
Based on school schedule and course load, program participants will work with their supervisors to set a schedule ranging from 10-20 hours per week. Participation in the part time co-op program could also range from 1-3 semesters. You’ll have the opportunity to apply for one of the following roles:

As an accountant, you’ll work in teams to prepare journal entries and reconcile ledger accounts, analyze monthly financial reporting, and effectively communicate results to your managers and senior leaders. You’ll manage the legal entity monthly reporting process and collaborate with other groups (Tax, Treasury, Finance) as well as utilize your accounting and analytical knowledge to implement more effective and efficient monthly processes. In this role you’ll work through complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. In our ever-changing business and industry, you will be involved in providing accounting support for complex Merger & Acquisition activity and the implementation of new applicable ASC regulatory changes. Our organization utilizes Oracle for recording ledger activity and HFM for consolidated reporting.
Internal Audit
As an internal auditor, you’ll support AT&T Audit Services by jumping right in and functioning as a member of an audit team responsible for the end-to-end planning, fieldwork and reporting on an assigned engagement. You’ll collaborate with your team to understand a given area of the business, scope the project, develop and perform necessary analyses, and communicate observations and insights that are shared with business leaders across the company—even the Audit Committee within the AT&T Board of Directors! Your curiosity and critical thinking skills will come in handy as you gather relevant information from key stakeholders. Your data literacy will help you discover and apply a variety of data analysis methods specific to each project. You’ll refine your communication skills as you share your findings with various audiences (including our Chief Audit Executive). The breadth of potential projects will expose you to a variety of areas and leaders across AT&T as you experience firsthand how to apply methods and procedures unique to the internal audit profession while helping AT&T identify and mitigate risk.
